Transformer
As being the most important component of rectifiers, depending on the structural properties transformers effects the running and productivity.Two basic components; nucleus and compound winding have different properties depending on the quality of the material. Fort his reason apropriate design and material should be used.
Nucleus made up from silicon sheet causes iron loss on the transformer and creates 15% of the total loss approximately.When normal sheet is used fort he nucleus the loss value would be 2-3W/kg but if M5 or M3type sheet is used this value comes down to 0.9W/kg .By this transformer heats up less and yield is increased. On Transformator windings different types of aluminum and copper conductives are used.Although copper is more conductive than aluminum , if suitable section and type is used aluminum is more effective.Espesically fast cooling property, being easy to find, and resistant to corrusion aluminum is more preferred. In MRS RD department whiile choosing the apropriate material fort he device, the working conditions are taken care and after scientific calculations best choice is made.After getting the results the wrong belief of “copper is beter than aluminum” would be understood well as well as understanding that desing and technology is more important on design. On transformator winding systems it is very important to choose right connection components and winding system.Traditional screw type winding system causes magnetic leakages since the windings do not overlap well and fort his reason the performance fails.Also some connection components used since they are easy to install can cause increase on input and output voltageSimilar to these , because of lack of electronic control system some gets more powerful and bigger transformators when it is not needed.Such problems are reflected to the end user as more energy consumption. Generally it is not easy for end user to evaluate technical structure of the device accurately.For right choice ; conformity to quality standards, material used, productivity of the product,compliance to the declared values should be considered. |
